If we defy the PTB's we aren't rational. These folks that are in charge have been told their whole life that they are "special". Theygot acepted to the Ivy league schools and they are smarter than the average folks. So the average folks must be schooled to be subjects., cause the elites only want what's best for us. Within reason and not to much freedom to confuse folks. Now I thought Bush trampled enough on the Constitution, but he never considered an internet kill switch. But Obama is good with that. Food police, Obama is good with that, health BMI indexes Obama is good with that. Mandate health care then call it a tax Obama is good with that. Abortion federally funded Obama is down with that. Damn he's killing the poor babies and you don't have a problem with that? Hell, do you want to be China?

The PTB's can't recognise us. Can you imagine the mind shift they must undergo to recognise that the Tea paty is not racist. Or KKK or remenents. The PTB's must recognize thier own racism. I don't think they are capable of that. and the soft racism of lower expectations. I do think anyone can do atleast as good or better than Shiela Jackson Lee or Al Franken and if you can run against these folks and be semi-intelligent I think you may have the voters backing.

No don't get me wrong I Love my little "Pekes" Not stupid and very loud. Mine aren't yappy at everything. There is always something they bark at, it maybe a cat but it's something! I think in an apartment they would make good alarms, and I know they are tough for all puffball appearance. They just are limited by weight not heart.
I'm think a chow cross would make a good SHTF dog. Small enough to play in the backyard, without daily walks. But big enough and ornery enough to protect his person. But I like several other breeds I just can't justify penning up most of the working breeds. I have always gotten along with terriers and pit bulls. I'm in charge and I am the "Alpha Bitch" as far as packs are concerned. I maybe open to a "European German Shepard" they are smaller compared to most in the USA.
Now Linda you start reciting history and what MLK said and you will be branded a terrorist. That assumes you haven't been already. :)

The color of their skin isn't nearly as objectionable as the content of their character.

Lynne, you may have restricted mobility but you aren't handicapped! You're right, too, Pekinese are fierce dogs, and they aren't all that small, either. I was musing about dogs suitable for apartment use, mostly. Hugs, Linda

You said it, Kurt. The hard part is finding decent, honest, hard-working, ethical, competent men. Our head hand has gotten so careless in his open theft from us he's going to have to be fired as soon as he finishes putting the new roof on. In Texas, in July, this will give him a small foretaste of hell. I am angry, of course, and so very, very hurt.

That we investigate these charges and spend so much time refutiating them validates for the opposition the effectiveness of the tactic. Are the Congressional Black Caucus, the NAACP and the black panthers racially devisve and bigoted by definition? Of course they are, and they need to be called on it over and over untill the organizations are disolved. That we may "know them by the content of their character, not the color of their skin." I wonder why the NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus haven't embraced their white brethren and invited them in to the fold?
We shouldn't defend these outrageous charges but redirect the true nature of the charges against the bigots that make them.

Steve,

You are on the money. An example of relativism. (Different than nepitism...) Politics today is so much more about showing differences, incremental change, "at least it is not X" than establishing policy based on principle. An enforced policy based on principal would undoubtedly leave someone or thing "out". The one or thing would have to alter behavior to qualify, operate illegally or cease. This upsets people, they protest against "discrimination" and "exceptions" are made and the policy is weakly enforced and the items meant to be prevented, are not. Then the cries of "We need to do something" start and a "NEW" policy is created starting the cycle over again.
The challenge is to not vote in anger or against the status quo to teach a lesson. All the Dems say is "We are going to help/protect you!" "Those dirty rotten so and sos."
The Republicans have not lived up to the challenge.
